The annual Te Tairāwhiti Arts Festival celebrates the creative abundance of the stunning Te Tairāwhiti region.
Adapting to a turbulent year fraught with restrictions, the Festival delivered a proud locally-focused programme in October 2021, rescheduling a summer celebration of music from 3-13 February 2022.
Kicking off with the world premiere opera event, HIHĪ - A Song of Place, featuring songbirds like Deborah Wai Kapohe and Rutene Spooner, set in the stunning Wahīrere Domain; followed by an explosion of exceptional music and cabaret at our Festival Club and Garden Bar – including performances by Tami Neilson, Troy Kingi, Anna Coddington, Julia Deans, Jackie Clarke, Sandy Mill plus much, much more!
