This setting was written for Isaac Leo Hemi Radford on the occasion of his baptism. Isaac is the son of former student, and now musical colleague, Sarah Court. Originally for voice and guitar, the work is also performable with piano. The text is from a volume of lullabies written around 1900 by Lincoln Hulley (1865-1934). Hulley was a prolific playwright and poet, and spent much of his academic career at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida.
